About the Property.

A fairytale Château sitting on a hill, located in South West France. It overlooks a crop field and is surrounded by an ancient forest.

Château de Cadrès, a 19th century castle, full of charm with its fairy tale architecture. It stands on the tranquil “Montagne de Cadrès” with its breath-taking views across the valley of the Lot-et-Garonne. It is run by a small family with a variety of different skills

Inside, the Château is rich in décor. Wooden panelling lines the walls and ceilings, which have been restored to reflect its former charm. The bedrooms and function rooms have been carefully curated with timeless designs to highlight its unique features, creating a luxurious space for a wedding, yoga retreat and stay.

A north, east, south and west terrace encircles the Château de Cadrès and overlooks the surrounding 10 hectare park. Observe the views from the terraces, or lose yourself amongst the forest. The park is kept cultivated to protect and nourish the numerous, ancient trees; however, an element of the forest is left for the wildlife. This creates a harmony that allows us to bare witness to Eagles, Golden Orioles and Owls.

The Château is run by a small family. With experiences from restoration to luxury hopsitality managment, they teamed together, utilising their skills and talents in the different fields required to run the property and make your experience one to remember.

Beyond the Château.

The greenery that is the Lot-et-Garonne is found in South West France. Bordering the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Occitanie, this department is lined with fruit orchards and protected forests.

Beyond the Château, you will find Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Saint-Sylvestre-sur-Lot, Monflanquin and Pujols. These towns, amongst many other medieval towns, are filled with French culture from exquisite restaurants, to local artisan goods. A market can be found nearly everyday of the week and the undulating terrain hides some very special treasures to explore during your stay at the Château.

Travelling to and from the Château has never been easier. The three main airports in the area are: Bergerac (55km), Bordeaux-Mérignac (154m), Toulouse-Blagnac (130km). Additionally, there is the local train station, “Penne” which can take you to Agen, Bergerac, Bordeaux and Toulouse.

“Château Cadrès is every wedding couple's dream fairy tale castle. [...] We particularly loved the setting of the château, among and above the luscious trees of the incredible countryside; just perfect for watching the sunset on the south terrace. We were delighted with the larger areas for groups to party and the more intimate areas, shaded by the beautifully perfumed foliage, for smaller groups providing a homely feel. The level of hospitality provided is seamless, high end experience with great attention to detail.”
