Stay at Château de Cadrès

In the heart of the Lot et Garonne, one enjoys the undulating landscapes, clean air, but with its commerce, restaurants and cafés surrounded by fortified bastide villages. Morning markets are stocked full of local produce and artisan creations, and the Summer Festivals abound.

You’ll find Château de Cadrès at the top of the long-gravelled driveway which is flanked by beautiful rare specimen trees, typical of the region and more. Upon arriving at the large iron gates, at the East Terrace of Cadrès, you will enter then into the terraced garden encircled by stone pillars.

The large, double front doors take you into the long hallway with a set of wooden staircase that lead you to your bedrooms, each with their own impeccable, ensuite bathrooms.

There are two large suites, each with its own private bathroom. Both face the South Terrace and parkland, with the enormous Sequioa trees and the view of Mount Cadres beyond. Opposite these suites you will find an upstairs salon which is available throughout your stay. This has a fantastic view over the garden and landscape beyond. There is a TV with an abundance of English Channels available, DVD’s, and Board games.

Over in the East Suite you find Flander and Charterhouse Rooms, reached via the connecting corridor. Again, each having their own private bathrooms, Super King size beds which can be adapted to create Twin Rooms. Then, there is the Serpentine Suite, which can sleep up to 4 persons. It has Super King size bed, which again can be adapted to Twin beds, and then two further single beds or bunk beds are within this space. This room has its own bathroom, a breathtaking view over the garden and stunning landscapes as far as the eye can see.

Lastly, you’ll find Cadugan Room by ascending the wooden stairs which puts you in mind of Hogwarts as you climb them. This room has a quintessentially English style, a marble fireplace surround and ornate oak framed king-size bed and enjoying views over the forest of Château de Cadrès.

All sheets are either high-quilaity Egyptian Cotton or Jacquard woven. Towels and dressing gowns are provided for the bathroom and for the swimming pool.
